I hate resumes. In fact, other than resume writers, I don’t know
anyone who actually likes them. How can I reduce my experience, my
talent, my passion, my genius (yes, you have genius too!) to a couple
of sheets of 8.5” x 11” paper and use that to justify why you should
give me a job? I can’t. That’s why I hate them. That’s probably why
you hate them, too. Even recruiters hate them, because they get SO
MANY, and most are a waste of their time.
So how do you get a job without a resume? By being memorable, being
generous with your time and talent, taking risks, and making connections
with the people you want to work with. It requires initiative,
creativity and courage, which I know you have, so you’ll be fine.
